<br/>The Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team (SIT) Chief Mr. R K Raghavan says, he is confident of submitting to the Supreme Court on or before April 30 his report in connection with the questioning of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and others on their alleged role in the Gulbarg Society riot case.<br/>Mr. Raghavan told a TV channel that the questioning of Mr. Modi is a very big step forward in trying to understand and unravel the mysteries in the case.<br/><br/>Mr. Raghavan said, the complaint of Zakia Jafri, whose husband and former Congress leader Ehsan Jafri was killed in the riots, was the basis of questioning of Mr. Modi. Asked whether the SIT will call Modi again for questioning if needed, Mr. Raghavan said, he has to look at the evidence that has been collected and what Mr. Modi has told while questioned by Mr. A.K. Malhotra of SIT yesterday. <br/><br/>Mr. Raghavan said, SIT has the right to recall if there were "gaps" and that applied to any witness. The SIT Chief declined to comment on a question whether an FIR will be registered on the basis of questioning of the Chief Minister on Zakia's petition.
