Singapore will hold Presidential polls on the 23rd of next month if more than one candidate qualifies to run for the position. <br/><br/>Election officials said today that former Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob, Indian-origin businessman Mohamed Salleh Marican and Farid Khan Kaim Khan are bidding to qualify for the election. <br/><br/>If there is only one eligible candidate, he or she will be declared as the President on Nomination Day. If elected, Halimah will be the Singapore's first woman President.
