In Singapore today, the duo advanced after defeating their Malaysian rivals, Aik Quan Tan and Pei Jing Lai, in staright games 21-15, 21-15. However in women's doubles, the Indian pair of Pradnya Gadre and Prajakta Sawant lost to the Japanese combination of Shizuka Matsuo and Mami Naito 18-21, 15-21 in the second round.
