The Singapore Airlines have decided to operate daily flights from Kolkata to Singapore from the 1st of August this year. Talking to news persons after a meeting with the West Bengal Chief Minister Miss Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Singapore Airlines, Mr. Marvin Tan told news persons that, the flight which flew four days a week till now will henceforth fly daily. He expressed hope that, this would increase the flow of passengers between Kolkata and Singapore and increase tourism in the sector. Ms Banerjee said that, the people of Kolkata are known for their wanderlust and this new flight will help them travel to Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Thailand.
