Secretary of planning commission and former additional secretary in the department of economic affairs Ms Sindhushree Khuller appeared before the Joint Parliamentary Committee ,JPC, on 2G spectrum. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi this evening,the Chairman of , Mr P C Chacko said, she maintained that decisions on issuance of lincences were taken in accordance with the prevailing policy of the government.
Mr.Chako informed that that BJP members did not attend today's meeting. He said that former finance minister and member of the committee Mr Yaswant Sinha wrote a letter to him saying that his party will boycott the meet on 2G over the issue of calling the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister as witnesses. Clearing his stand, the Chairman said that he he has already said that the Prime Minister may not be called. Mr.Chako also clarified that the CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta has not boycotted the meeting , walked out.
