In the Macau Open Badminton Tournament, two time winner and defending Champion PV Sindhu will begin her campaign today. 5th seeded Sindhu will be taking on an unseeded Korean Kim Hyo Minh in the opening round. Sindhu is the only Indian in the women's singles, as world number two Saina Nehwal is not taking part in this competition.In the men's singles, Sai Praneeth, H S Prannoy and Ajay Jayaram will be battling it out in the second round today. 5th seed Praneeth will be playing Artyom Savatyugin of Uzbekistan, while 7th seed Prannoy will meet Lin Chia Hsuan of Chinese Taipei and 9th seed Jayaram will face Lin Guipu of China. In the women's doubles section pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwinin Ponappa will also begin their campaign today.
