Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and B.Sai Praneeth reached the quarter finals of women's and men's singles events respectively of the Macau Open Badminton tournament today. In the pre-quarter final today, two-time defending champion and fifth seed P.V.Sindhu defeated Lindaweni Fanetri of Indonesia 21-17, 21-18 in women's section. In men's single pre-quarterfinal, B.Sai Praneeth beat Andre Kurniawan Tedjono of Indonesia 21-15, 21-6. The other Indian shuttler, H.S.Prannoy is due to play his men's single quarter final match against China's Qiao Bin later today. Saina Nehwal is not taking part in this competition, while top seed Kidambi Srikanth had bowed out in the opening round.
