Simhastha Kumbh Mela's second 'Shahi Snan' concludes in Ujjain amid heavy rain

Apart from some rain related incidents, second Shahi Snaan at Simhastha Mahakumbh is culminated with full fervor and gaiety today at the banks of holy river Kshipra in Ujjain. The second 'Shahi Snaan' of month-long Simhastha Kumbh mela began early today with Naga Sadhus of Juna Arenas venturing into the holy Shipra River chanting Om Namah Shivaaye. All the 13 Arenas of seers had taken bath till noon. Pilgrims are still flocking over the ghats daring the nature's fury. <br/><br/>However, one person was killed and four others were injured in rain related incidents while rest of the activities were in order at Simhasth Mahakumbh. In view of the recent rains and speedy winds elaborate arrangements have been made along the banks of Shipra River. Security personnel and NDRF teams are keeping a close watch at the Mela venue and appealing pilgrims to reach safer places in time.

More than 40 Million faithful have reached here for the second Shahi Snan. All the 13 Arenas of seers had taken bath till noon. Common public is still flocking over the ghats daring the nature's fury. Though, one person was killed and four others were injured in rain related incidents in Ujjain, rest of the activities were in order at Simhasth Mahakumbh. <br/><br/>Elaborate arrangements have been made along the banks of Shipra River. Over 25,000 security personnel and NDRF teams are keeping a close watch at the Mela venue and appealing pilgrims to reach safer places.
