Silver surged 800 rupees, to close at 46,300 rupees per kilo, at Delhi's bullion market, today, on increased off-take by industrial units and coin makers. Silver coins held steady at 73,000 rupees for buying 100 pieces. But gold fell 150 rupees, to end at 30,700 rupees per ten grams, as demand from jewellers at the domestic markets dried up considerably.Overseas, silver jumped 3.1 percent to 20.25 dollars an ounce. Gold gained 1.7 percent to 1,339 dollars an ounce.
