Silver futures prices were up by 262 rupees to 35,438 rupees per kg today. The rise in silver prices was due to increased demand in spot markets ahead of the festive season.Market Analysts said fresh buying by speculators and reports of firming trend in its prices in global markets also supported the rise in price of silver. Meanwhile, silver traded higher 0.27 per cent to 23.56 dollars an ounce in the Asian region.
