<span style="color: #222222;">The new Passenger train service between India and Bangladesh will start from 26th of March, the day the neighbouring country begins the Golden Jubilee celebrations of its Independence.&nbsp;Divisional Railway Manager of Katihar Division Ravindra Kumar Verma said, the train will leave NJP on every Thursday and Monday while it will depart from Dhaka on Friday and Thursday.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Haldibari-Chilahati (in Bangladesh) train route was opened after a gap of 55 years for goods trains on 17th of December last year. The passenger train between New Jalpaiguri and Dhaka will take the same route.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Haldibari, which is on the India-Bangladesh border, is in Cooch Behar district of the state, while Chilahati is the first station on the other side of the border, located in the Nilphamari district of the neighbouring country.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The running staff will change on the international border. As far as immigration and other formalities of passengers are concerned, those would be carried out both in Dhaka and NJP. Sources said the train, will reach Haldibari from NJP via Jalpaiguri Town. It would then enter Bangladesh and reach Dhaka via Chilahati, Jaidebpur, Parbatipur, Santahar and Tangail.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Katihar Division V K Choudhary told AIR News that all arrangements have been completed for train services between Dhaka and New Jalpaiguri.</span>

Siliguri-Dhaka train service to start on Independence Day of Bangladesh
