<br/>The Sikkim Government is going to set up a Poultry Estate at Mangalbarey in West Sikkim district on a cooperative basis with progressive farmers jointly.<br/><br/>It will be the first of its kind in the entire country. Steps are also being taken to set up a poultry processing unit at Melli in South Sikkim district. This will facilitate a better marketing access to the State’s poultry produces.<br/><br/>AIR Gangtok correspondent reports pig breeding farms were being set up at Assam Lingzey and Melli Dara to increase the production of piglets in the state. A regional training centre in animal health care services is also being set up at Sokeythang in east Sikkim district with assistance from the North East Council.
