In Sikkim, the rescue and search operation for the flashflood victims of north Sikkim is in full swing since this morning. The fresh landslides occurred last night at several places on way to Chugthang disrupting the main state highway and blocked all the road accessibility towards north Sikkim. Two army helicopters deployed in the area are trying hard to reach the spot as bad weather continues. The district administration has confirmed 16 deaths and another 5 still missing. However, some reports put the toll to 21 killed and 8 missing.
