<span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim reported two new COVID-19 cases today. DG-cum-Secretary of Health Dr Pempa T. Bhutia informed that total COVID19 cases in the state stands at 70, of which 66 are active and four people have been discharged after recovery.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The two new cases include an 18-year-old female returnee from New Delhi who was in facility quarantine in Pelling, West Sikkim. She has been shifted to Ayush Hospital, Geyzing.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The other person is a 52-year-old male from Tathangchen, Gangtok, who returned from Kolkata. He was admitted to STNM Hospital near Gangtok with flu like symptoms on 15th June.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp; </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Bhutia also informed about the death of a 27-year-old man on 16th June. He had returned to Sikkim from New Delhi on 5th June and had been placed in facility quarantine in Gangtok. He developed flu-like symptoms and tested negative for COVID19 three times before being diagnosed with tuberculosis. He was prescribed medication for tuberculosis and was discharged from facility quarantine, but developed complications on 16th June. He was rushed to Central Referral Hospital, Gangtok, where he was declared dead. Dr. Bhutia informed that the sample was again RTPCR tested for final confirmation, which was also negative.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
