Sikkim reports second COVID death

<span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim reported the second death due to COVID-19 yesterday. The first death due to the infection had occured on 26th July. 20 new cases has taken the state's total tally to 1207.<br />''<br />''Director General of State Health Department Dr Pempa Tshering Bhutia informed that the deceased was a 45-year-old resident of Bihar working at a pharmaceutical company in East Sikkim. The patient had complained of breathing difficulty and expired before reaching the hospital.<br />''<br />''Dr Bhutia informed that three doctors and nurses who were exposed to the deceased have been home-quarantined and the emergency ward at STNM Hospital, Gangtok has been contained for 72 hours. The hospital's emergency service has been shifted to the out-patient department for the containment period.<br />''<br />''Separately, with 20 new cases reported on Tuesday, active cases in Sikkim reached 450, while 755 patients have been discharged after recovery. </span><br />
