Sikkim reports highest single-day spike of 108 new COVID-19 cases

Sikkim today reported 108 new COVID-19 cases, the State's highest single-day spike. According to a health bulletin by Director General of State Health Department Dr Pempa Tshering Bhutia, the total number of cases now stands at 438, while active cases have reached 326. <br />''<br />''AIR Correspondent reports, East Sikkim district reported 61 new cases and a cumulative 316 cases, South District reported 46 new cases and cumulative 91 cases while West Sikkim reported one new case and total 30 cases. North District has reported only one case so far with no new cases.<br />'' <br />''Director General of State Health Department Dr Pempa Tshering Bhutia informed that among the new cases, 102 were reported through rapid antigen testing while six were reported through RT-PCR.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">All asymptomatic patients are being kept under the observation of doctors of Primary Health Centres and patients are being treated at facilities within the respective districts. </span><br />
