Sikkim plans to provide 100 per cent tap water connections to all households before March 2022

<span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim has planned to provide 100 per cent tap water connections to all households before March next year under Jal Jeevan Mission. The State has about one lakh five thousand households, out of which 81 thousand households have tap water connections. It has provided about ten thousand 300 tap water connections in 2020-21.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Jal Shakti Ministry said, Sikkim and Tripura today presented their annual action plans to provide tap water connection to the rural households before the committee chaired by Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation. The Ministry said Tripura has around eight lakh rural households, out of which around 27 per cent households have tap water connections. The Ministry said, State has planned to provide 100 per cent tap connections to all rural households by 2023.</span><br />''  <br />
