<span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad today held the second review meeting with the state government at the Raj Bhavan on the current status of COVID-19 in the state.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the meeting, Chief minister PS Tamang informed that the state government has given top priority to equitable distribution of relief materials to beneficiaries. He informed that in view of the likely extension of the lockdown beyond 14th of this month, the Sikkim government is taking several additional measures.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Governor urged the state government to expedite the process of setting up of a testing Lab for COVID-19 for early detection and treatment of patients. Health Minister Dr MK Sharma said, the government has given top priority to the issue in collaboration with Indian Council of Medical Research.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Governor also suggested that the state government should take highest precaution, and strengthen its mechanism to tackle COVID-19 and prevent it from entering Sikkim. He urged the government to take the welfare of vulnerable sections on top priority. Sikkim has not reported any case of the infection so far.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Secretary SC Gupta and Director General of Police A Shankar Rao, were also present at the meeting.</span><br />
