<span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim Government today felicitated National Awardee teachers from the state in the presence of Governor Ganga Prasad, Minister of State for Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh and Sikkim Education Minister K.N. Lepcha at Raj Bhawan in Gangtok.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Prasad said that it was a pride moment for Sikkim to have two national awardees this year and that the awards should further motivate them to contribute to society. He said that the National Education Policy aims to bring back the country's past glory in the education sector. He stressed that only Indian education and philosophy can send the message of peace to the world.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Minister of State for Education Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh congratulated all awardees and students and urged them to create awareness on the teachers' awards. Stressing on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of new and young India, Dr Singh said that education sector would be key to achieving these objectives. He stressed on learning through the mother tongue to encourage critical thinking from a very young age.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim Education Minister K.N. Lepcha highlighted Sikkim's strong performance in annual national teachers awards despite being a small state, wherein eight teachers from the state have received the awards since 2018. All the eight teachers were felicitated on the occasion.&nbsp;</span>
