Sikkim CM lays foundation stone for 575-beded super speciality hospital

In Sikkim, the Chief Minister, Mr. Pawan Chamling laid the foundation stone for a 575-beded super speciality hospital near Gangtok on Wednesday. The 400 crore rupee hospital spread over in an area of around 18 acres will be completed in the next five years. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister told that the hospital will be expanded with upto 1,000 beds in the future. He told that the proposed hospital will also have separate wing for Indian and Tibetan systems of medicine. <br/><br/>AIR Gangtok Correspondent reports that the hospital, combined with the existing Sikkim-Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences will ensure that the people of the land-locked mountainous State should not have to go outside for getting modern medical facilities.
