<span style="color: #222222;">Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang today called on Governor Ganga Prasad at Raj Bhawan in Gangtok to discuss the COVID-19 situation. State Cabinet Ministers and administrative officials were also present.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Tamang informed the Governor about measures taken by the state government during the second phase of lockdown. Mr Prasad enquired about the well being of frontline warriors, status of COVID-19 testing facility and availability of essential commodities in Sikkim. The Chief Minister informed that the test lab is nearing completion and testing machines would be procured at the earliest.<br />'' <br />'' He informed that the government has initiated the process of collecting data of people stranded outside the state and they can return after interstate transportation is allowed.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Tamang informed that mobile testing units have been provided at Rangpo at the state border and four testing machines are being installed at STNM hospital near Gangtok.<br />'' <br />'' The Governor was also briefed about quarantine facilities.<br />'' <br />'' Specific vehicles have been identified for transportation of essential goods, agricultural and construction works are on, and factories have been functioning.<br />'' <br />'' The Governor emphasized that people should continue with social distancing and take necessary precautions.<br />'' <br />''<br />''Mr Tamang assured that all guidelines will be implemented based on the situation while also following the Centre's instructions.</span><br />
