The Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling today announced that the State will be made a fully Organic one by 2015. In his address on the occassion of Independence Day,he said that the use of the chemical fertilizers in agriculture will be phased out and the entire cultivable area will be brought under organic certification programme. He also stressed on establishment of Kisan Bazars in all four districts for better marketing of local products within and outside the state. As an effort to strengthen quality education in state the government has now announced specialized free coaching to those sikkimese graduates interested in joining IAS, its allied services , banking, engineering , medical or in any other creative fields . It will be given at best coaching centers in the country every year. Announcing that more than 7 thousand houses damaged in last years earthquake will be reconstructed under a centrally funded scheme in time bound manner, the Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling has also elaborated about the state ongoing scheme to convert 14 thousand ‘kuchcha’ houses into Pucca house for the upliftment of people living below poverty line . Besides enhancing financial assistance to state veterans and widows of the 2nd world war from 800 and 1500 rupees to 3000 rupees per month, a pension for unmarried women in age group above 45 years has also been introduced on the occasion of Independence Day in State.
