Sikkim all set to hold polling for 1 LS & 32 Assembly seats in sate tomorrow

Sikkim is all set to hold polling for one Lok Sabha and 32 Assembly seats in sate tomorrow. Over three lakh sixty nine thousand voters are expected to exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 121 candidates for Assembly and six candidates for the Lok Sabha seat.

State Chief Electoral Officer D Ananadan said in Gangtok that 538 polling stations have been set up throughout the State with more than 3500 poll personnel deployed there.

15 companies of West Bengal Armed Police Force have been deployed to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections in addition to the State Police personnel. This time 121 polling stations have been declared as critical.
