In Sikkim, six nominations for one Lok Sabha and 124 for 32 Assembly seats filed by various political parties in state were found valid during scrutiny held today. The Aam Admi Party and all India Trinmul Congress is contesting for the first time in both parliamentary and assembly constituencies.
The Indian National Congress including the BJP, the Regional Sikkim Democratic Front and Sikkim Krantikari Morcha are among other prominent political parties contesting the election to be held on 12 April in all four district of state.
