Sierra Leone President imposes nationwide curfew amid anti-government protests

Sierra Leone's Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has declared a nationwide curfew after anti-government protests turned violent. According to media reports, at least two police officers and a civilian were killed after a day of anti-government protests in capital, Freetown. Protesters threw rocks and burned tyres in the streets, out of frustration at worsening economic hardship and other issues. The West African country has been struggling with rising inflation and a fuel crisis. <br />''<br />''<br />
