Shurhozelie Liezitsu has been sworn-in as the 17th Chief Minister of Nagaland, along with 10 other members of the Council. The 81-year old Naga People's Front party President was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor PB Acharya at a ceremony in Kohima today. He succeeded TR Zeliang, who resigned as the Chief Minister following widespread protests over reservation to women in local body elections.<br/><br/>Ministers who were administered oath today includes Kiyanilie Peseyie, Y. Patton, P. Longon, Kipili Sangtam, C.L. John, Yitachu, Paiwang Konyak, Vikheho Swu, Chotisuh Sazo, Imkong L. Imchen and G. Kaito Aye. Some big names dropped from the earlier Ministry are Minister of PHED Tokheho Yepthomi, Minister of Forest and Environment Dr. Nikesalie Kire, and Minister for PWD National Highways, Mechanical and Elections Nuklutoshi.
