The Kerala High Court today granted bail to seven CPI-M activists arrested in connection with the Shukkoor Murder case. The Court also dismissed the bail pleas of four other accused in the case.Abdul Shukkoor, an IUML activist was killed by CPI-M workers in February in Kannur, in retaliation to the attack on two CPI-M leaders, Kannur District Secretary P Jayarajan and party MLA T V Rajesh. P Jayarajan was arrested in connection with the case early this month, while T V Rajesh surrendered before a court at Kannur today. Earlier in the day, the bail application of P Jayarajan and the anticipatory bail plea of T V Rajesh were rejected by the Kerala High Court.
