<span style="color: #222222;">A Shramik Special train carrying around 1140 stranded Manipuris in Tamil Nadu left Chennai Central Railway Station on Sunday evening for onward journey to Jiribam Railway Station of Manipur. The train which is first ever train for evacuation of Manipuris is likely to reach Manipur after 3 days.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The evacuation of stranded Manipuris in Tamil Nadu is arranged by Manipur State government in collaboration with Tamil Nadu government. The passengers were picked-up by buses and brought to Chennai Central. Police verified the passengers with the approved list and medical screenings were done. Later they were handed over the train ticket and board the train. However, train fare was not charged from the passengers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Speaking to AIR News, Dr. Thokchom Shitharjit of Manipur who has boarded the train said, the initiative taken up by both the State government is much appreciated. Officials deployed at the stations are very co-operatives and all kind of preventive measures were taken.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Manipur State government has made all arrangements to receive the stranded Manipuris coming by train. Medical booths have been created and medical teams are well prepared. Buses have already reached Jiribam which will collect the passengers after medical check for onward journey to Imphal. They will be put on 14 days quarantine at different centres.</span>
