The government will consider the request of some state governments to extend the period for implementation of the Right to Education Act(RTE) in view of the shortage of teachers and lack of adequate infrastructure. Speaking at the 60th meeting of the Central Advisory Board for Education(CABE) in New Delhi yesteraday , the Human Resource Development Minister Dr M.M Pallam Raju said that still there is a need to take a number of measures for filling up the vacancies of teachers He said that his ministry will consider the issue along with review of the progress of RTE.
Dr Raju also called for deep involvement of all stakeholders in developing the human resource potential of the country through education
