National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon met his US counterpart James Jones in Washington and discussed access to David Headley, the Lashkar-e Taiba operative accused in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. <br/><br/>Menon's meeting with Jones came a day after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh raised the issue of Headley with President Barack Obama. <br/><br/>Sources said, the modalities and ways in which India could be given access to Headley were among the various issues discussed by the two National Security Advisers. <br/><br/>Headley, arrested in Chicago in October last year, had confessed his crucial role in the Mumbai terror attacks. <br/><br/>In his plea bargain with the US government, Headley had offered to be subjected to questioning by foreign investigators through deposition, video conferencing or Letters Rogatory. <br/><br/>Sources said, if extradition takes more time, India may seek direct access to a Pakistani-origin American national Headley to unravel the entire conspiracy of 26/11 Mumbai terror strike and other planned attacks in India.<br/><br/>
