Shiv Sena's leader elected Mayor of Mumbai

Shiv Sena's corporator Sharaddha Jadhav has been elected as the Mayor of Mumbai, beating her rival from Congress Presila Kadam. She was elected by 114 votes including 80 Shiv Sena votes, 29 BJP and 2 Akhil Bhartiya Sena's votes. Samajwadi party and MNS abstained from voting. In the 228-member House of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Shiv Sena has 81 corporators, BJP 29, Akhil Bharatiya Sena 2, and three Independents. Congres has 77 members, while NCP and RPI has 14 and 3 corporators respectively.<br/> <br/> <br/>
