Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray today announced that his party has decided to pull out from Narendra Modi government.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Thackeray said that Shiv Sena's lone representative in Union Cabinet, Heavy Industries Minister Anant Geete will tender his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after latter's arrival from America.
Shiv Sena and BJP had ended their 25 years alliance last week ahead of crucial October 15 Maharashtra assembly elections.
However, Anant Geete had made it clear that though the alliance in the state has ended, he will continue to work in BJP led Modi government at the center. Incidentally Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief and cousin of Uddhav had yesterday criticised Shiv Sena for holding ministerial post in BJP government post breakup.
