Shiv Sena today gave a stern warning to its estranged ally BJP against taking any type of support from NCP to run the new government in Maharashtra. It said that if BJP takes any kind of support from NCP, then they would not hesitate to sit in the opposition.
Addressing a press conference in Mumbai today Uddhav Thackeray cautioned BJP against taking direct or indirect support from NCP to prove its majority on the floor of the house. Describing such an eventuality as unfortunate for the people of Maharsahtra, Thackeray asked BJP to clear its stand in next 48 hours. Thackeray said his party supported BJP on the Hindutva issue as they always wanted the two parties with the same ideology to remain united. Speaking about talks with BJP on the power sharing issue in the state, Thackeray said his party has asked BJP to clear its stand on the state power sharing issue and then talk about the Centre. On being asked about reports of his party member’s meeting with Shrad Pawar, Thackeray said no member of his party did ever go with any proposal to Pawar.
Thackeray said that in today’s meeting Eknath Shinde was elected as the leader of Shiv Sena's legislative party.
