Clearing stand on Chief Ministerial post in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena has said that BJP is a single largest party in Maharashtra and only they will have to decide on the Chief Ministerial candidate. Shiv Sena has also expressed confidence that BJP will give a good Chief Minister to the state.
Speaking to private news channels, Rajya Sabha MP and party Secretary Anil Desai yesterday said that people of Maharashtra have given mandate for a stable government and both BJP and Shiv Sena will soon begin official talks for the government formation.
Mr Desai added that he along with senior party leader Subhash Desai held initial discussions with BJP leaders in Delhi recently and the talks were positive. He informed that many BJP leaders are out of Delhi to their respective places for Diwali celebration. Once they return, both parties will begin official talks on government formation.
According to sources, BJP is preparing to hold its legislative meeting early next week to decide its Chief Ministerial candidate. Sources also claimed that the new government will be in place before the month end.
