As talks between the Shiv Sena and BJP move ahead slowly, Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray yesterday said his party is in no hurry to be part of the BJP led Maharashtra government. Mr. Thackeray, who was on a tour to Kolhapur said that the decision to support the BJP will be taken in two days. He said, Shiv Sainiks are in no hurry to join the government. He said that he wishes that things should happen in favour of Maharashtra.

For now, the BJP, which has 121 seats, needs 22 more seats to prove a majority in the house. According to sources, the Sena, which has 63 seats, wants a one-third share in the ministerial berths. BJP sources have indicated the Sena is also asking for the position of deputy chief minister. However Uddhav refused to comment on whether the Sena had demanded the deputy chief minister's position. The BJP has to prove its majority in the assembly at a special session which will start on November 10.
