The Shiv Sena has criticised Ved Pratap Vaidik's meeting with 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed.

The party, in its mouthpiece Saamana, has accused Vaidik of sedition and being unpatriotic for meeting a terrorist.

Criticizing the centre for merely distancing itself from the entire issue, Shiv Sena, an ally of the ruling BJP, urged the government to act against Vaidik.

The party says, the government cannot disassociate itself from the incident and must not be soft on Vaidik.

It said, had it been a Congress government and any journalist would have met Hafiz, BJP would have attacked the government.
