Ship of Theseus, Jolly LLB, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag win National Awards

Anand Gandhi directed 'Ship of Theseus' has been selected as best feature film while 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' was named the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment.

The 61st National Film Awards were announced in New Delhi today. Rajkumar Rao for Hindi movie 'Shahid' and Suraj Venajaramoodu for Malayalam movie 'Perariyathavar' share the Best Actor award.

Geetanjali Thapa won Best Actress for 'Liar's Dice'. 'Jolly LLB' won the Best Hindi Film award and Saurabh Shukla got best Supporting Actor award for this film. The Best Supporting Actress award is shared between 'Ship Of Theseus' actress Aida Elkashaf and Marathi star 'Amruta Subhash'.

Kabir Suman has been selected for best music director for the Bengali film 'Jaatishwar' while Bangali Singer Rupankar also got best play back singer male for this film.

The film also got the awards for Best Make Up and Best Costume Design. Bela Shende bagged best female play back singer award for the marathi film 'Tuhya Dharma Koncha'.

Jahnu Barua's 'Ajeyo' was named Best Assamese Film, 'Bakita Byaktigoto' won Best Bengali Film, while 'Naa Bangaaru Talli' won Best Telugu Film award. The National Film Awards will be conferred on the 3rd of next month.
