Shinde to embark on 5-day visit to US to tap investment in India's power sector

Union Minister for Power Sushil Kumar Shinde is to embark on a five day visit to the United states to tap investment in power sector in India. He is leaving for Chicago and New York on Monday. An official release said, the power sector of India will require 232 billion US dollars in the coming years. Many investors in US have shown keen interest to invest in India.In Chicago, Shinde will address 'US-Indian Economic Opportunities and Synergy Summit' and The Executives' Club of Chicago. In New York, besides addressing the press conference organised by Counsel General of India, he will meet Chief Executive Officers of various organisations organised by United States India Business Council (USIBC).
