Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde has taken over as Home Minister. This portfolio was held by P.Chidambaram till yesterday. Talking to reporters in New Delhi after taking over the charge he said he is feeling proud that Prime Minister has entrusted him a responsibility of an important ministry. Mr. Shinde said, he is the second dalit to hold this portfolio. Mr. Veerappa Moily who has been given additional charge of power also took charge of the new ministry. The ministry was earlier headed by Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde. Talking to reporters after taking over Mr. Moily said that people need to manage power better as shortage of power is known. Mr. Chidambaram who has been given charge of Finance Ministry is expected to take over soon.
