Union Power Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde today stressed on the need to have a vigorous and focussed national awareness campaign to improve energy efficiency. Inaugurating a National Seminar on Energy Efficiency and Conservation in New Delhi, he said the aim of the seminar is to engage all stakeholders and seek their inputs in the process of energy saving. He talked at length about the role of the agriculture sector in the process. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Power, Bharatsinh Solanki said that energy efficiency can bridge the gap between demand and supply of power.
