Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has hinted at disciplinary action against the Congress MPs from Seemandhra region who have given notice for no-confidence motion against the government. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Shinde said, if there is any indiscipline, the party will take care of that. He said, it was for the Lok Sabha Speaker to decide on admitting the motion.
Six Congress MPs from Seemandhra, besides four TDP and three members of YSR Congress party have submitted separate notices to the Speaker Meira Kumar for moving a no-trust motion. Our Correspondent reports that the no-confidence motion could not be taken in the House following adjournment. A no-confidence motion can be taken up only if it has the support of at least 50 MPs.
