Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has expressed satisfaction over the all improvement in the situation of Jammu and Kashmir but stressed the need to remain vigil against the efforts of elements inimical to peace and progress of the state.
Shinde, who is on a three day visit of to the state, today reviewed the situation at the meeting of unified Command. Cross LOC infiltration, security of panchayat representatives and issues related to strengthening prevailing peace in the state were deliberated upon in detail in the meeting.
The State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and senior officers of various security agencies attended the meeting. The Home Minister visited Hazratbal shrine and he also went down the Dal lake. He was briefed about the measures taken for conservation of this world famous lake.
