Former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Union Minister for Power, Sushil Kumar Shinde appeared before a two-member judicial commission probing the Adarsh Housing Scam, as a witness in the case, in Mumbai today.
The judicial commission had issued a notice to Sushil Kumar Shinde on June, 23rd to appear before it today.
Former Chief Ministers Vilasrao Deshmukh and Ashok Chavan are also scheduled to appear before the judicial commission as witness in the Adarsh Housing Scam case on June 27 and June 30.
Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra between 2001 to 2003. During this period, he is said to have cleared many files relating to Adarsh Housing Society including allotment of land to the Society.
