JMM President Shibu Soren today met the governor to stake claim to form the government in Jharkhand. He claimed the support of BJP with 18 MLAs, JD(U) 2 MLAs, All Jharkhand Students Union five and one independent MLA Bandho i Morcha. JMM has 18 MLAs. He requirs the support of 42 MLAs to form the Government. Congress has made it clear that it is not in a hurry to initiate talks for government formation in Jharkhand and will do so without any preconditions. Earlier, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief Shibu Soren was elected its Legislative Party Leader last evening in Ranchi. The meeting also entrusted the party president for talks with like-minded parties on government formation.
