Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has taken the oath of prime minister of Nepal. President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr. Deuba at Rashtrpati Bhawan in Kathmandu today. 70 year old Deuba is the 40th prime minister of Nepal. <br/><br/>The veteran Nepali Congress leader has taken the charge of prime minister fourth time. Mr Deuba, first became PM in 1995 and later in 2001 and 2004. Seven other ministers including three deputy prime ministers also took oath. Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Centre) has three each and Nepal Loktantrik Forum has one minister in the new cabinet. From Nepali Congress, Gopal Man Shrestha has been appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki Minister for Finance and Farmullah Mansoor Minister for Labour and Employment. <br/><br/>The other coalition partner CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Krishna Bahadur Mahara is appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Janardan Sharma Minister for Home Affairs and Prabhu Sah minister without portfolio. Nepal Loktantrik Forum Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development.<br/><br/>Nepal parliament had elected Mr Deuba as new prime minister yesterday. 388 members voted in favour of Mr Deuba and 170 against the motion. Out of total 593 members, 558 took part in the voting. Election for new prime minister was held due to resignation by the CPN (Maoist Centre) Chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal from the post of Prime Minister. Mr Dahal had resigned on May 24 as per the power sharing understanding with the coalition partner Nepali Congress.
