Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has condoled the death of Jyoti Basu, eminent politician and former chief minister of West Bengal. In her condolence message Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina said Jyoti Basu was one of the leading political figures in the sub-continent for decades and a great friend and well-wisher of Bangladesh. His death is a great loss not only for India but also for the region as a whole, Hasina added. Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia also condoled the death of the veteran communist leader.<br/><br/>
