CBI today filed a charge sheet in RTI activist Shehla Masood's murder case against five main accused, including interior designer Zahida Pervez and her confidant Saba Farooqui. It also gave a clean chit to BJP MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh.

The charge sheet was filed by the agency's counsel Hemant Shukla in the court of special CBI Judge Shubra Singh. CBI counsle said that Singh had no role in the murder of Masood.

While talking to the reporters in Indore he said, the charge sheet consists of 18 pages with over 1000 pages as supporting documents. He said all the five accused have been booked in the chargesheet under sections 302 (murder), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) of IPC and sections 25, 27 of the Arms Act after completing investigations within the stipulated time limit. With regard to the BJP MLA, Mr Shukla said, he had no role to play in the murder of Masood.
