Minister of State for External Affairs Dr. Shashi Tharoor reached Bahrain today on an official visit. According to diplomatic sources, the Minister today addressed a group of Bahraini business and Industry organized by Bahrain-India Society on the issue of Expanding Horizons of Cooperation between India and the GCC.<br/><br/>Dr. Tharoor is expected to meet the King, the Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Bahrain and also hold discussions with the Foreign and Labour ministers tomorrow. During the meetings new avenues of cooperation including in the areas of economic, trade and energy security are likely to be discussed. He will have extensive discussions on areas of mutual interest during his two-day visit.<br/><br/>Dr. Tharoor will also visit United Arab Emirates from 6th to 8th of this month after concluding his visit to Bahrain.
