Uttar Pradesh Government has announced a compensation of one lakh rupees to the parents of girl child who was killed in bomb blast at Varanasi yesterday. Talking to the media state cabinet secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh said in Lucknow this afternoon that 50 thousand rupees each will be given to injured. He said, Chief Minister Mayawati has written a letter to the Prime Minister seeking 125 companies of Central Paramilitary Forces for security and safety of important religious and tourist places across the state. He denied allegations of intelligence failure leading to the Varanasi Blast and said security forces had taken adequate measure to avoid any untoward incidents. He said investigation into the blast is going on and culprits will be booked very soon.
