In the share market, BSE and NSE indices on Monday remained close for the fourth phase of polling as Mumbaikars are exercising their voting rights. 

In the previous session, the Sensex closed at 39,067 while Nifty ended at  11,755. The rupee at the forex market in the previous session settled at 70 rupees and two paise against the dollar.
